Introducing Rapid Response Taskforce (RRT)
The primary purpose of the RRT is to respond rapidly to any violations that affect DCS and GD, through collective actions such as public statements, media releases, and critical reviews. This group will work proactively on advocacy issues by analyzing and discussing identified cases, issuing written statements, and offering feedback on DCS and GD violations. Additionally, RRT members will engage in other advocacy events, podcasts, and contribute to the development of a National Strategy under the above-mentioned project. The recommendations and outputs generated by the taskforce will be made available on VOICE’s online web portal to ensure widespread access and engagement. The RRT will also call for wider representation of interested stakeholders through a networking meeting.
Specific roles and responsibilities within the taskforce will include:
- Attending RRT meetings and participating in discussions around DCS and GD violations.
- Contributing to written statements, media releases, and providing inputs for policy recommendations.
- Attending and supporting advocacy events, podcasts, and other related project activities.
- Collaborating on the development of the National Strategy and additional project activities upon agreement.
The RRT comprises thirteen diverse members, including women, minorities, youth, activists, lawyers, academicians, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and CSO representatives. This inclusive team amplifies marginalized voices, strengthening advocacy to empower overlooked communities.
